Designation of Lebanon for TPS

On November 26, 2024, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced the designation of Lebanon for Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for 18 months, from November 27, 2024, through May 27, 2026. This designation allows eligible Lebanese nationals, as well as stateless individuals who last resided in Lebanon, to apply for TPS if they have resided continuously in the United States since October 16, 2024, and have been physically present in the U.S. since November 27, 2024. Approximately 11,000 individuals are estimated to be eligible for TPS under this designation. The Federal Register notice provides detailed instructions for applying for TPS and an Employment Authorization Document.
