DHS Offers Protections for Lebanese Nationals Currently in the United States

DHS is offering Temporary Protected Status (TPS) and Deferred Enforced Departure (DED) to eligible Lebanese nationals due to conflict in Lebanon. Those in the U.S. since October 16, 2024, can apply for TPS, while DED beneficiaries can get work permits valid through January 25, 2026. Lebanese F-1 students may also receive Special Student Relief. These measures will aid about 11,000 nationals and 1,740 students.
