USCIS has issued new guidance clarifying that any Form I-693, Report of Immigration Medical Examination and Vaccination Record, signed by a civil surgeon on or after November 1, 2023, will only be valid while the immigration application it accompanies is actively pending. This policy takes effect immediately and applies to all applications pending or filed on or after June 11, 2025.

USCIS Issues New Policy on Disclosure of Derogatory Information

USCIS has released updated guidance on how it will handle and disclose derogatory information in immigration cases:

If USCIS plans to deny a case based on negative info that you weren’t aware of, they will now generally provide a detailed description in a Notice of Intent to Deny, RFE, or NOIR.

Some exceptions apply — classified or privileged info, or third-party disclosures, may still be withheld under certain laws.

This policy applies to all pending and future immigration filings.
