Interview Waiver Criteria for Family-Based Conditional Permanent Residents

PUBLISHED ON: April 08

A noncitizen who obtains a permanent resident status based on a marriage that occurred within two years of getting such status will subsequently obtain that status on a conditional basis for two years.2 To remove the conditions on permanent resident status, family-based CPRs must typically file a Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence (Form I-751) no later than the ninety days preceding their second anniversary of obtaining CPR status.
